10th International Andros Festival 2024, July 28-August 25, Open Theater of Andros
Andros International Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary and invites all Andriots and visitors of the island to a great celebration of culture, from July 28 to August 25, 2024, at the uniquely beautiful Open Theatre of Chora.
All these years the artistic director of the Festival is the renowned director Pantelis Voulgaris.
It all started in 2014, when, with private effort, the Open Theatre began to be built, which was completed the following year, in 2015, the year in which the first Andros International Festival was held.
Since then, every year the Andros International Festival offers high quality entertainment, being one of the most important regional festivals in terms of organization and artistic level.
In its 10 years of operation, the Festival has been welcomed by artists and audiences all over the world. Over 300 renowned artists and more than 150 events have been presented since 2015, placing Andros at the heart of the cultural summer.
The 10th Andros International Festival includes important theatrical performances, concerts of top musicians and singers, a children's show, film nights curated by Pantelis Voulgaris, in collaboration with the Andros Film Club and closes with a special music party.
The Festival is organized by the "Friends of the Andros Festival", with the support of sponsors, volunteers, employees and the Municipality of Andros.
The first decade of the Andros International Festival is here and we are waiting for you to experience unique nights of culture under the starry sky of Andros.

Andros is loved, loved a lot. By the locals, by the visitors. I personally feel both a local and a visitor. For 35 years, winters and summers, I have loved the island more and more, more and more deeply, for obvious reasons, the interesting people, the great maritime history but also the strange and mysterious, the ones that the heart longs for and defines.
Ah, I say, there are some gorges, chapels, dry stone walls and cypress trees and rock formations that I didn't get to see up close.
Ah, I say again this year, in the 10 years of the Festival. We missed some performances and some musical acts that were impossible to include in the programme in the nine previous years.
But how can I not feel grateful to so many important artists who have honoured the stone theatre, who have offered us wonderful texts, melodies, emotions and to take a breath and escape from the pressure and the hustle and bustle of everyday life and to contemplate the more serious, more essential aspects of the human adventure.
During these years Andros was heard more thanks to the Festival.
So let's go to the 10th. Have a good time at the August night spot.
