8th International Andros Festival 2022, July 31-August 24, 2022, Open Theater of Andros
For the 8th year, the International Andros Festival is held at the Open-air Theater of Chora, from July 31 to August 24, 2022, under the artistic direction of Pantelis Voulgaris.
After the two difficult years due to the pandemic and the restrictions it imposed, the Andros Festival returns dynamically, with a larger number of producers, hosting special concerts, theatrical performances and events of local organizations.
The uniquely beautiful Open Theater is ready to welcome important artists and bands such as Tania Tsanaklidou, Giannis Stankoglou, Aris Biniaris, Alekos Syssovitis, Ioannis Papazisis, Argyris Pantazaras, Sissi Toumasi, Giannis Kotsiras, Argyro Chioti, Simos Kakalas, Emilios Cheilakis, Manolis Dounias, Athena Maximou, Myrto Alikaki, Giota Nega, Anastasis Roilos, Martha Frintzila, the Australian director Wendy Beckett, the orchestra "Vassilis Tsitsros", the theatrical group "Mikros Notos" etc.
The event is held by A.M.K.E. "Friends of Andros Festival", with the support of Andriots and non-Andriot sponsors, volunteers, employees and the Municipality of Andros.
From 2015 to 2021, the Festival has presented more than 80 events of the most important artists, which have been attended by more than 61.000 spectators, making Andros an important cultural destination.
