Anniversary Music and Dance Performance by Ydrousa Dance Club - June 28, 2024
Ydrousa Dance Club: 10 Years of Creation - Anniversary Music and Dance Performance
The Ydrousa Dance Club has the pleasure and honor to invite you to its anniversary music and dance performance, which will take place on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 8:30 pm at the open theater of Andros.
This year, the Ydrousa Dance Club celebrates its ten years of creative work, offering to the friends of tradition and art a unique performance full of music and dance. This performance will be magnificent, with the participation of 150 dancers and 5 musicians, and more than 200 traditional costumes will be presented.
After the various events of the Christmas period and the organization of the 3rd Seminar of Traditional Dances and the 4th Panhellenic Festival of Traditional Dances for Children and Youth Dance Groups, which have been established as institutions in the events of our country, the Group returns dynamically presenting elements of the work it produces.
It is a tribute to traditional dance and song, with their particularities and peculiarities, their colourful musical measures and characteristic steps. The theatre space will be flooded with sounds from Thrace, Macedonia, the Aegean Islands, Asia Minor and Cappadocia, accompanied by talented local musicians. At the same time, dancers of the Group will present dances from Eastern Rumelia, the Peloponnese, Naoussa, Macedonia, the Cyclades, Pontus, Cappadocia and Asia Minor in the appropriate style.
In this marriage of cultures and traditions, which is prepared with diligence, meticulousness and professionalism by the well-known choreographer Kostopoulos Stathis, the Ydrousa Dance Club prepares a particularly thoughtful performance. With the use of an imaginative set, with respect to the folkloric elements of our country and especially with passion and love for what it stands for, the preservation and dissemination of our cultural heritage, it promises to enchant and move the audience.
The people of the island of Andros and the wider region of the South Aegean Regional Unit are invited to actively participate in the effort of the Group, to experience magical and dreamy moments and to enjoy the sounds and dance patterns of other eras.
Your presence will be a great honour for us and it will be a pleasure to have you by our side in this special event.
