Location & How to get there

Chryssi Ammos beach is located on the northeastern coast of Andros, in Kipri. At a distance of approximately 3 km is Gavrio Port, the center of Batsi is at a 6 km distance and Chora is 30km away. It is easily accessible from the main road connecting Gavrio to Chora.

The beach

Chryssi Ammos beach is extremely popular, especially to younger visitors, but also to families.
Even though its coastline doesn’t extend significantly, it becomes very crowded. As one can tell by the name, Chryssi Ammos is a fine golden sandy beach, with golden sand found even on the seabed. The turquoise - coloured waters are always cool and peaceful, as the beach is not at all affected by the usual Aegean winds. 
Its gradually deepening waters are ideal for both young and older swimmers, as the little ones can enjoy themselves safely in the shallow parts and the older visitor can have an amazing dive just a few meters away. Chryssi Ammos is fully equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas available for rent, changing rooms, showers and a lifeguard.
The beach bar is young people’s favourite spot and sets the beat for the beach throughout the day. Visitors can get coffees, drinks and snacks there while there are also water sports activities available.
For those looking for a more quiet space to lay on and relax, having brought their own equipment, there is also a -smaller- part of the beach just for that!
