Piso Meria - Prophet Elias - Stavros Beach
Hiking Trail 19 is a route to discover the unique rural landscape of South Andros. Intense alternations from the mountains of Rachi to the southern coastline of Steno between Andros and Tinos. The route initially ascends from the settlement of Niona to the wooded slope of Rachi. Then it passes lower than Prophet Elias to descend to the wonderful rural area of “Steno”offering impressive views and a rural landscape with excellent dry stone constructions. The route ends at the pristine beach of Stavros with the homonymous chapel and a feeling of great proximity to the island of Tinos.
Access to Hiking Trail 19
The access to the path is on Niona’s settlement, in the area of Piso Meria, next to the building of the Moustakeio Foundation.
