Plaka Beach
Plaka Beach
Plaka beach is a tiny, stunning beach with crystal - clear blue waters that combines sand, fine pebbles and small green trees offering their shade and breeze even on the warmest days of summer.
Location & How to get there
Plaka beach is located on the western part of Andros, in the region of Korthi and in close proximity to Zaganiari village. It’s at a 30 km distance from Gavrio Port and 21 km from the Chora of Andros. The beach is underneath Saint George Faralis church and from that point on, the dirt road makes the rest of the route a bit difficult. Plaka’s location and morphology keep her safe from meltemia winds, a common phenomenon in Andros, making it the ever safe and pleasant choice for everyone.
The beach
Plaka is one of the smallest but at the same time more picturesque beaches of Andros.
It’s not an organized beach so there isn’t a store nearby to get supplies from. It’s perfect for endless hours of play - time in the water as well as fishing, with its waters being always calm and clear.
