Agios Petros (St. Peter’s) Beach
Agios Petros (St. Peter’s) Beach
Agios Petros beach is the largest and most popular on the island. Crystal - clear waters and a golden sandy beach of almost 1 km length are what makes it stand out. It’s where some of the most popular beach bars of Andros are located such as Kaliva Beach bar and San Pedro Beach bar. There is, also, enough room for those who want to visit its non organized part. Right above the beach, supermarkets and taverns are there to cater the needs of the visitors.
Visitors should keep in mind that Agios Petros is a beach significantly exposed to the winds, but the views are worth it. From its shore one can look at the boats entering and leaving Gavrio Port and the small islands (Gavrionisia) laying ahead, getting kissed by the waves and bathed in the light of the sunset.
Location & How to get there
Agios Petros beach is located on the main road leading from Batsi to Gavrio, right after Chryssi Ammos. Starting from Gavrio Port, Agios Petros is just 22 km away, while from Batsi center and Chora it’s 7 km and 31 km respectively and 33 km from Korthi.
